King of comedy is currently one of the best Japanese duo of comedians.
The two members come from respectively Tokyo and Saitama:
Konno Hiroki (今野浩喜), born on 1978/12/12, The thin guy. He plays usually someone disturbed by another character
Takahashi Kenichi (高橋健一), born in 1971/3/30, a little bit fat. He plays usually characters a little bit idiot, here to disturb his companion

Their performances treat usually of daily life situations where one normal guy, a little bit stubborn sometimes is interacting with a perturbing character played by Kenichi.

Characters played by Kenichi vary from the guys a little bit lost, homeless, disturbing drivers or even middle school students. Hiroki has usually the role of someone who should command Hiroki (Company older employee, policeman, teacher) but cannot have any control on him.

They began to become famous around 2002-2003 where they reached the semi final of M-1 Grand Prix, a famous show on Japanese TV showing comedian’s performances.
In the last years they won numerous prices such as recently the Gold Bananaman of Bananaman (another Japanese and influent comedian).

Here are some videos that I personnally like.

It is common in Japanese schools that teachers in cooperation with their students decide the bad manners that could have consequences on the reputation of the school. Here, a teacher (played by Hiroki), lets a middle-school student (played by Kenichi) speak about those bad manners.

What is particularly funny here is that Kenichi tells about bad manners, that have successive effects, until reached a point where the consequence is absurd.
For instance:
1) Bad manner of a student is not good for the class.
2) What is not good for the class is not good for the school
3) what has bad effects on the neighbours living close to the school
4) what has bad effects on the rice fields close to the neighbours of the school

5) what reduces the production of rice
6) what makes people eat more Thai meals…

Another one:
1) Playing too much games is bad
2) Your eyes hurt.
3) You have a bad eye sickness
4) You have to give up with your dreams to become a Thai boxing Champion! (logical though by thinking about it)

Another video:

Here Keninchi plays a new employee of a video rental store.
Hiroki is his sempai (colleague older or with more experience).
Hiroki needs to explain him several times the same instructions. Each time you have the impression that Kenichi understands what he has to do but he cannot get anything. Hiroki is also extremely patient with that.

Until next time,
See ya

Michael
